Beth and Steve’s Wedding at Villa Podernovo, Tuscany
Editing season has arrived, just in time for me to hibernate away from this horrendous British weather! Here to give you a taste of the summer is Beth and Steve’s incredible wedding day within the stunning grounds of Villa Podernovo, Tuscany.
The Gift of Film
The last wedding of 2018 was at one of my favourite Midlands’ venues, Elmore Court. Working alongside me that day was talented Cotswolds based wedding photographer, Naomi of Lush Imaging, who frequents Italy as a destination wedding photographer. After a great day’s shoot together, Naomi passed on my details to one of her brides, who was looking for a videographer. Before Emily and Jake’s wedding had finished, Beth had already been in touch to ask about my availability for her wedding day in Tuscany. Beth wanted to give the gift of film: I would be a present for the groom! Therefore, I would need to be scarce until Pizza Night – the day before their wedding, and we’d have to correspond in secret! After a few emails working out the logistics, and a few secret conversations over the phone, we were all set! Unfortunately, a slip of the tongue in a meeting meant Steve discovered our plan just before my arrival; nevertheless, he was delighted at the news and greeted me with gusto the day before their wedding at a Pizza Night arranged especially for the guests.
Pizza Night at Podernovo di Monticiano
To welcome their family and friends, Beth and Steve generously arranged a Pizza Night. With the tables elongated within the 18th Century villa’s grounds, and decorated beautifully by Beth’s friends, the scene was set and – most importantly – the oven baked authentic Italian pizza was nearly ready to be served! Beth prepared a short and heartfelt speech, which she delivered just before the meal. Thanking her 70 guests for making the trip to this intimate and romantic location, Beth shared her heartfelt thanks to her friends and family before reflecting on her relationship with Steve. Having met on the first day of university, and starting out as just friends, Beth used one of her favourite Friends’ quotes to explain her feelings about moving into a romantic relationship with Steve.
As Chandler Bing says, “I just felt like, I can’t believe we’ve not been doing this the whole time.”
Following a round of applause, the guests enjoyed tucking into their delicious Italian Pizza and settled in to their new surroundings before the big day!
Beth and Steve’s Wedding Day at Villa Podernovo, Tuscany
Beth and Steve’s wedding day finally arrived, and just like Monica and Chandler’s before them, Beth and Steve tied the knot as soul mates and friends. Blessed with a beautiful Tuscan sunset, and the most caring and loving of friends and family, Beth and Steve’s wedding day was full of laughter and joy. With memorable, moving speeches, and sincere, personal vows, Beth and Steve’s wedding day at Villa Podernovo had it all, and is now available for you to watch in 4K below. I hope you enjoy watching it, as much as I enjoyed being a small part of Beth and Steve’s wedding story.
Thank you for taking me on an amazing adventure, Beth and Steve! I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to Tuscany in Italy, and it’s been a privilege to be your wedding videographer. I wish you the very best for the future – long may your adventures continue. Finally, thank you for sharing your delicious pizza with me. Joey would approve.
