A Wyresdale Park WEDDING

With one of the funniest Best Man speeches I’ve ever captured, along with an equally funny and heartfelt groom speech, Jen and Martin’s wedding film is one of my Autumn gems. With beautiful colours, stunning portraits and two families who came together filled with laughter and love, this wedding is timeless.

Wyresdale Park, The Forest of Bowland

The Autumn season truly brings some of the best colours for weddings, and The Forest of Bowland certainly didn’t disappoint. Wyresdale Park, nestled on the edge of The Forest of Bowland, is one of my favourite spots. With a lake spot, which couples are able to access via canoe on their wedding day, and plenty of green space for portraits and guests to mingle, it’s easily one of the best wedding venues in the North West.

With perfect areas for cinematic lighting during preparations, and a homely feel for the rest of the day within the grounds, it’s one of the rare venues that never fails to please throughout the wedding day.

Nature was very important to Martin and Jen when selecting their wedding venue. With a great love of the outdoors, Jen runs a popular Instagram account for running, hiking and travel, and Martin… well, Martin is happy as long as a beer is at the finish line!

KIND WORDS

Jen + Martin

“Our wedding videos are absolutely amazing and have received such high praise from our family and friends.
Craig was easy to work with and communicate with in the run up to and after the wedding. If you are on the fence about getting a videographer – Do it!! It is such a lovely memory to have of the day and we cannot recommend Craig enough!!”

” we both cried, and absolutely love our films!”

“That’s my daughter you’re talking about!”

“I’m in love with spending the rest of the day, today, looking at the most gorgeous bride I’ve ever seen; and wondering, what it was I did to make it this far. I’m in love with spending anniversaries climbing mountains that end in beer gardens, because that’s a 50:50 relationship that everybody gets something from. I’m in love with becoming the old couple that makes Jen cry by literally doing anything; just existing, being old and cute and a couple in love. I’m in love with three weeks off work in Hawaii, trying to surf, drinking beer and hiking coastlines with a babe that’s my wife. I’m in love with finally being able to finally be one of those fellas who can write in dust on the back of a filthy van, “You think I’m dirty; you should meet the wife!”

Father of the bride interrupts, “That’s my daughter you’re talking about!”

“I’m in love with all of these imagined futures. The endless possible happy moments that we get the chance to make real because we’ve agreed to spend our whole lives together. I’m in love with all these ideas; I’m in love with everything we’re going to be; I’m in love with you, my beautiful wife.”

Wyresdale Park WEDDING QUESTIONS.

I’ve shot at Wyresdale Park twice, at the time of writing, and absolutely loved both visits. As I’ve mentioned in other journal entries, I quite like variety when it comes to wedding venues, so I never reach out to ask to become a recommended supplier. I much prefer being asked by couples who have found my website and fallen in love with my films if I’d like to be their wedding videographer, as then I know that they’re choosing me for me, and not based on recommendations alone. That said, if you feel like you’re one of those couples, I’d absolutely love to go back to Wyresdale Park soon, as I’ve had two great weddings there, and absolutely loved both visits. With the stunning surroundings of The Forest of Bowland, and the opportunities for great drone shots, it’s definitely a venue I’d love to return to more often.

I did. If there’s one space that feels quite contained at Wyresedale Park, it’s the dance floor, but that brings its own charm. Rather than having a huge dance floor that swallows guests and looks quite bare, Wyresdale dance floors are always packed and full of energy! Adding some tungsten based lighting to the dance floor makes the room feel a lot warmer, and allows for more cinematic looking light.

It is! Therefore, no additional travel costs will be incurred upon booking your collection with me for a wedding at Wyresdale Park. I always arrive early to ensure the best chance of capturing some epic drone shots, and then I make sure that I’m all set for your Ceremony before the day even begins. Then it’s just a case of capturing your memories, as the day unfolds.

Jen and Martin chose to go for Collection Three, which included an InstaTeaser, Feature Film, Highlight Film, Ceremony and Speeches. You can see Jen and Martin’s Wyresdale Park Highlight Film at the top of this page, but I’ve also included their InstaTeaser and Feature Films at the bottom, if you’d like to see the differences.

That’s a tough question! I’ve been to Wyresdale Park twice, and both weddings had their unique charm. I visited once in the winter, and here in the Autumn. I think the Autumn really displayed the beauty of the surrounding forest, and the grounds are so secluded that it really feels like the day is yours as a couple. The Manor House offers really beautiful light, and the Ceremony room feels like the perfect size for around 70 guests. You could shoot portraits all day there and never become unstuck, and the staff are absolutely lovely. So, in all, I’d say it’s a great choice for a wedding venue, and one of my favourites in the North West!

Simply visit the Contact page on my website, and get in touch! Whether you’d like to schedule a video call, or if you’d just like to book, the process couldn’t be smoother. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your Wyresdale Park wedding!

“We’ve never switched places, until today!”

“Throughout both of our lives, countless people have asked us what it’s like to be a twin.
‘Do you have the same thoughts?’ No, we don’t.
‘Did you ever trick your teachers in school?’ We never did that, no.
‘Have you ever swapped places for the day?’ And the truth is, we never have, no… until today, ladies and gentlemen!”

“Martin, along with Laura, you’re the person I trust and admire most in the entire world. You’re the kindest person I know, the most capable, thoughtful and dependable friend, brother, uncle, son and now, husband! I don’t know what I’d do without you – it just doesn’t bear thinking about… so, cheers for being there, mate. I love you so much. I love you both.

I’ve watched Jen and Martin come so far in life together, and I’ve been lucky enough to spend some of the happiest moments of my life in their company. It would be futile of me to try and describe how perfect they are for each other. Martin’s been my best friend for my entire life, so I can say with absolute authority and confidence that when I look at Jen and the way that they are together, he’s found the one, his best, best friend.
