One the hottest day of the year, Karl finally got to marry his “Ice Cream Angel” at the stunning Eaves Hall, Clitheroe. One of the most challenging days for any videographer, the bare sun shone down with all its might on this wedding day, and yet, even in the least favourable conditions imaginable, Katie and Karl’s wedding is one of my absolute favourites.

Eaves Hall is one of the most notable venues in the North West. With stunning grounds, and a beautiful Georgian mansion, you’d be hard pressed to find a better venue. Beautiful gardens, sweeping landscapes and an incredible team are always on hand to ensure the perfect wedding day, and this one was just that.

KIND WORDS

Katie + Karl

“From start to finish, Craig was incredible. On the day, he made everything feel easy and natural, and the footage he captured is honestly breathtaking.
His storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to blend into the day without ever being intrusive are next level.
We’ll treasure these videos forever. Highly recommend Craig to anyone.”

“from start to finish, Craig was incredible.”

“I’ve been waiting a little bit of a while for this!”

“I’ve been waiting a little bit of a while for this…!” Vanessa jokes, in between blowing dust away from an old piece of paper.

“Karl… Karly Pops… I’ve never been prouder to be a part of such a magical moment. A little brother / sister tradition Karl and I had was to drive to the Chill Factor and visit the ‘Ice Cream Angels’. Now, what is an ‘Ice Cream Angel’? Well, it’s just Karl’s way of describing the beautiful girls behind the counter who serve the ice cream. He’d stare at them like they were sent from Heaven, but wouldn’t dare utter a word beyond, “Can I have a cone, please?”

Karl has many, shall we say, ‘little quirks’. One of his quirks is that he’s not just good at everything, he is obsessed with being the best at everything. He gets laser focused and deep dives into whatever he wants to master. One of his greatest deep dives though was Tinder.”

Eaves Hall WEDDING QUESTIONS.

I’ve shot at Eaves Hall on a couple of occasions. I absolutely loved both visits, and they were each in the summer time. Although I’m not a recommended supplier at Eaves Hall, I’d love to go back again soon. One of the weddings ended with fireworks, which was truly an incredible display, and Katie and Karl’s wedding, despite being on the hottest day of the year, is one of my all time favourite wedding films. With the stunning grounds, a beautiful Georgian House and having weddings that are often classy affairs, Eaves Hall is definitely a venue I’d love to return to more often.

This was a personal decision made by the couple. Karl, an actor and filmmaker in his own right, had a vision for how he wanted his film to look. He was inspired by Plus Two Films, who are one of the best wedding videography teams in Europe, and so Karl wanted his film to have a similar amount of energy, while retaining a great storyline. From the feedback that I received after this wedding, I can honestly say that he was delighted by the films, and they turned out to be some of my favourites too. Sometimes, it’s good to be challenged!

It is one of those venues that’s closer to an hour than two hours away from me, and therefore, if the wedding is not on a weekday, I am happy to travel to Eaves Hall for the same price as I would for a wedding within an hour of my location. Therefore, in the event that your wedding is at the weekend, and the chances of traffic are minimised, no additional travel costs will be incurred upon booking your collection with me for a wedding at Eaves Hall.

Katie and Karl chose to go for Collection Three, which included an InstaTeaser, Feature Film, Highlight Film, Ceremony and Speeches. In Katie and Karl’s case, I was delighted that they opted to have a Feature Film as part of their package, since so many of their speeches and moments throughout their ceremony shone. This helped me to tell an in depth story in their Feature Film, which is one of my favourite challenges.

For Katie and Karl’s wedding day, it was the grounds of Eaves Hall that I truly adored. With the Ceremony taking place outside, along with the Speeches, Katie and Karl’s wedding day felt like a wedding in Italy, and we got a sunset that was similar to one you’d experience in Tuscany too! With live music throughout their wedding day, guests had the most incredible time, and when everyone is enjoying themselves, that’s when I have the best time too!

Simply visit the Contact page on my website, and get in touch! Whether you’d like to schedule a video call, or if you’d just like to book, the process couldn’t be smoother. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your Eaves Hall wedding!

“I do remember the moment I matched with Katie as clear as day!”

“I do remember the moment I matched with Katie as clear as day. I was with Vanessa, and, up until that point, I’d been hopeless with women, as my mates will probably gladly testify.” Karl explains to the jeers of his friends.

“But with this newfound Tinder bravado, I showed Vanessa a picture of Katie, and I said, “I bet I’ll match her. Vanessa took one look, and rightly disagreed. I swiped right anyway, and to my shock, we matched! And I can still remember jumping up and down like a kid – I couldn’t believe my luck – and if I’m honest, I still can’t; because that swipe ended up being the start of the rest of my life.”
