Styal Lodge Wedding Video: Tom + Laura

Tom and Laura's journey together began at a fancy dress party. Tom - dressed as The Flash - and Laura - dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz - hit it off whilst celebrating their friend's birthday together. According to The Flash, 'Copious amounts of alcohol and some dodgy dancing,' sparked the beginning of their relationship together. Personally, I never took The Flash for someone who could be led astray, yet here we are; at least we know the true 'sauce' of Dorothy's hallucinations. 

Laura, My Number One Fan

I joined Dorothy and The Flash on their journey together as plans for their wedding day started to take shape. Laura, having watched Tom + Wei's wedding video (attached at the bottom of this post) from 2015, contacted me and expressed some very kind thoughts towards my wedding videos, which were just beginning to take off at that time. We met shortly thereafter at The Flash and Dorothy's new home; the Yellow Brick Road had led Dorothy and The Flash to Cheshire - who knew? Enthusiastic and warm-natured, Tom and Laura shared their story with me, before going through their wedding timeline. 

Since our meeting, Laura has been watching everything that I've posted; Liking and commenting on all of the wedding videos that I've shared, which was really kind of her. Because of this, I always joke with Laura that she is my biggest fan - perhaps besting my Mum - and so it was an honour to make a wedding video for her. By the time Dorothy's wedding day had arrived, I knew her excitement would be bursting at the seams; I couldn't wait to be a part of their wedding day at the stunning North West Wedding Venue, Styal Lodge. 

Styal Lodge: Beautiful, North West Wedding Venue

Styal Lodge is one of my most treasured wedding venues to shoot at, as it was the location for my friends' wedding in 2015. Back then, Tom and Wei hired me as their wedding videographer and treated me to food tasting and wine tasting before their wedding day - as Wei is a lifelong friend of my girlfriend, Lisa, who was Wei's bridesmaid. Therefore, whenever I am hired to shoot a wedding at Styal Lodge, I am always filled with excitement, as it brings back many fond memories and provides me with an opportunity to capture similarly memorable moments for my valued clients. I shot this past weekend at Styal Lodge, and will be there again in 2018!

Tom and Laura's wedding day is up there with my favourites. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me, Laura and Tom, I had a blast! 

Laura and Tom’s Honeymoon in Italy

Amazingly, more than a year after their wedding day, Laura and Tom got back in touch to share their Honeymoon film with me! I was delighted to watch it, and really impressed by Laura’s first effort to edit a video of her own! Having taken Laura more than a year to edit their Honeymoon together into a 15 minute film, I can see that all of her perseverance has paid great dividends, and Tom and Laura now have the perfect memory of their trip to Italy!
